How This Calculator Works
We use UK market median £720/kWp installed for systems 100-1,500 kWp, scaled down for small (~£780/kWp at 50 kWp) and down for large (~£640/kWp at 2 MWp). Annual yield uses regional PVGIS coefficients.
Self-consumption defaults are based on your shift pattern; surplus is exported at the SEG rate. Full Expensing applies 100% first-year corporation tax relief (26.5% effective saving). VAT recovery removes 20% VAT from gross capex.
IRR is calculated on 25-year cash flows with 0.5% annual degradation and 3% tariff escalation. CBAM offset is modelled at £50/tCO2e UK ETS-equivalent price.
